Art Gallery, Department of Fine Arts

The Department of Fine Arts has an Art Gallery, located at the ground floor of the Arts block housed at a central place in the Faculty, the Art gallery while providing space for curational experiments of the students, a continuously exhibit the works of local and foreign artists to enhance the artistic environment in the country in general and the University of Jaffna in particular.

The Department of Fine Arts maintains an archives which includes a collection of photographs, paintings, exhibition catalogues and other publications.

Jaffna Public Library, Jaffna

The Jaffna Public library has a considerable number of publications in the field of visual arts.

Sri Lanka Archive of Contemporary Art, Architecture & Design, 199, Temple Road, Nallur

A public archive dedicated to collecting materials in English, Sinhala and Tamil, related to the Visual Arts of modern and contemporary Sri Lanka and Asia.

Jaffna Archaeological Museum, Nallur

The Jaffna Archaeological Museum came into existence in the 1940s. It was handed over to the Archeological Department, Government of Sri Lanka in 1978. It has a significant collection of antiques and archeological objects related to the cultural heritage of Jaffna. 

Navalar Library, Nallur

The Navalar Library is a regional library which contains many collection of old books & magazines. It’s a useful site for students and researchers.
