2017: The Fine Arts(Art History) undergraduate study programme of the Department of Fine Arts was the only study programme that obtained an ‘A’ grade in the Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna in the programme review conducted by the University Grant Commission of Sri Lanka.

2009: The subject review conducted by the University Grant Commission of Sri Lanka in June 2009 considered eight aspects (1.Curriculm Design, Content  and Review 2.Teaching, Learning and Assessment methods 3.Quality of students’ including students progress and achievements 4.Extent and use of student feedback, qualitative and imitative 5.Postgraduate studies 6.Peer observation 7.Skills Development 8.Academic Guidance and Counseling) of the subject Fine Arts and awarded “good” for the overall quality of academic performance.
